Happy Pride 🏳️‍🌈 to our #CareExperienced #LGBTQIA+ community + Dillon Ó Nualláin's important Blog

It’s time for the people that have to come out twice to be known and to exist in the community. Our unique experience’s are valuable and important. Maybe one day there will be a poster with an almost-rhyme drawn with sharpie that states proudly ‘Queers in Care’, in the sea of all of the rainbow. Or maybe something a little more creative!

We hope our #CareExperienced #LGBTQIA+ community have enjoyed the start of the summer pride celebrations and important coming together of the #LGBTQIA+ community in challenging discrimination.

In addition to the fantastic video from Sophia Alexandra Hall@sophiahallsax on #CareExperience & #LGBTQIA+ we posted last week Dillon Ó Nualláin has written an important blog on their experience of "What it’s like to be Gay and in the Care System."

I’ve noticed that there are also so many similarities between being in care and being gay.

Thank you Dillon for sharing your experience and stories on this important intersectionality of #CareExperience #YouRock! Read Dillon's blog here.
